Stop 10: Beacon, New York

Beacon is just north of New York City. From there I can reach the state capitol in Albany, as well as Yale in Connecticut, parts of Pennsylvania, and can even take the train into New York City. Another highlight of my journey is the storied Woodstock, where my great uncle lived in an artist community for most of his life. It seems he has a piece in the Smithsonian, but I had no idea my grandfather had a brother until I was in my 30s.
